Sisters and Brothers in Christ:

THE DEMENSIONS OF GOD’s LOVE

“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by Faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge.”  E[h. 3:  17 -19

THE DIMENSIONS of the Love of Christ!  It is broad as humanity, “for God so loved the world”; the length God’s love had no date or origin, and shall have none of conclusion.  God is Love, it continues ever  indissoluble, unchangeable, a perpetual present tense.  Its height—as the Flood out-topped the highest mountains, so that Love covers our highest sins.  It is as high as the heaven above the earth.  Its depth—Christ our Lord descended into the lowest before He rose to the highest.  He has touched the bottomless  pit of our sin and misery, sorrow and need.  However low your fall, or lowly your lot, the everlasting arms of His love are always underneath.  The Apostle talks by hyperbole, when he prays that we may attain to a knowledge of the knowledge-surpassing love of Christ.  We cannot gauge Christ’s love, but we can enjoy it. Probably the only way to know the love of Christ is to begin to show it.  The emotionalist, who is easily affected by appeals to the senses, does not know it’ the theorist or rhapsodist does not know it, but the soul that endeavours to show the love of Christ knows it.  As Christ’s love through you broadens, lengthens, deepens, heightens, you will know the love of Christ, not intellectually, but experimentally

(1Jo 4:11 , 1JO 4:12 ;  1Jo 4:20 -21).

But you say, “there are people in my life whom I cannot love.” Granted, but you must distinguish between love and the emotion or feeling of love. You may not be able to feel love at the outset, but you can be willing to be the channel of Christ’s love.  I cannot love, but Christ is in me, and He can.  Is it too much to ask that all this should be realized in ourselves and in others?  No, because God is already at work within us by His Holy Spirit, and He is able to do infinitely beyond all our highest requests or thoughts.  Ask your furthest, think your highest, and the Divine Love is always infinitely in advance.

PRAYER

W thank you O God, for the infinite love which you haven given us in Jesus Christ.  We have no measure for its heights and depths, its breadths and lengths.  Teach us with all saints to know more because we love more.  AMEN

I AM IN NEED OF YOUR HELP DESPERATELY!!!

This is a new season for me and the Isaiah 61 passage that God gave me 10 years ago is coming into play.  “new things have come, old things have passed away.  At the present time I am in a different place.  I had dabbled into this arena off and on over the years, now realizing that God would put me here for this season of my life  My mission is all about souls, ministering at the Kingston House, in Boston .  God has called me into the mission field of the poor and destitute.  This ministry is very exciting and I would like to share more in my next newsletter.  Through this ministry, God is at work, reaching the lost, teaching the found, and leading these lost sheep to a place of restoration.

In order for this mission to continue and to enable me to do God’s work,  I am in need of lots of prayer and financial support, for the mission cannot salary me because of Katrina, and the financial cuts that have happened as a result of this hurricane.   As I have stepped into a new season of ministry before the Lord, even more I covet your prayers for wisdom and revelation, direction and provision, to enable my work with these men and women whom I have grown to love.

His Bonslave Rev. Katherine

June 4th Sunday,  Global Day of Prayer to be held  at the Tremont Temple, 84 Tremont Street Boston, from 5:0  to 8:00 p.m.   Parking available at Boston Commons Garage $10.00.

On Sunday, June 4, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Christians from around Massachusetts will join together in Tremont temple for the Global Day of Prayer, Boston .  On this same day, hundreds of millions of believers around the world are gathering in their cities and towns to celebrate the love of God together.  Here in Mass, we are experiencing unprecedented unity across denominations and people groups.  God has been pouring out a great abundance of His love on our region in 2006.

Unbeknownst to most, the number of churches in the Boston and Cambridge area has been steadily increasing for over 30 years.  Recently, this trend is exploding beyond the storefronts, small church plants and immigrant churches where it began.  This “quiet revival.” Documented by researchers at the Emmanuel Gospel Center in Boston , has reached the ears and hearts of many believers in recent months.  There are quiet (and not so quiet) revivals happening in urban, suburban and rural areas throughout New England .  www.globaldayofprayer.com

At Tremont Temple we will be inspired by short, dynamic stories of God’s penetrating work right here in our region.  We’ll worship with music lead by dynamic groups like North Shore Christian Men’s Choir., and Jesus is going to lead us in joyful, radical repentance and renewal.

If you plan to attend, please pre-register each person in your group to help us know how many to plan for and to make things go more smoothly at the prayer meeting.

Prayer rooms will be open in the Temple from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for prayer.  You may register on-line for a one hour prayer room assignment and for a fellowship lunch at noon .  For more information or to reserve a room for a specific time period,  please call Gail at 781-934-6796.  The main program beings at 5:00 p.m.

Watch for “10 day of Prayer” – special devotionals written by local pastors and ministry leaders each day, May 25-June 3.  They’ll be emailed to you automatically.

I believe the Global Day of Prayer, Boston will be the first of many multi-denominational regional gatherings.  What God does in our region, will have an affect that reaches the uttermost ends of the earth.  Let’s let Him lead us into the revival that never ends!
